Abstract

Introduction: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is defined as maintaining the airway, breathing and circulation of a person whose breathing and circulation have stopped due to any reason.

Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate nurses' knowledge about cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Method: This research is a prospective and descriptive study. Questionnaire form was used as data collection form in the study. The data obtained from the questionnaire were recorded and evaluated by making statistical analyzes.

Results: In the study, the descriptive data of the participants and their answers to the questions about cardiopulmonary resuscitation were obtained.

Conclusion: As a result of this study, we determined that the nurses have comprehensive knowledge about cardiopulmonary resuscitation and follow up-to-date protocols. We think that the knowledge of nurses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation is sufficient and they are well-equipped in this regard.
